Warrior Way Welcome Crew

The Warrior Way Welcome Crew is a dedicated group of campus volunteers—our "Happy Purple People"—who help create a welcoming and engaging experience for prospective and current students, families, and guests. Crew members assist with a variety of campus events, including New Student Registration, MEA visits, Warrior Way Day, and many other university programs throughout the year. Our volunteers come from all corners of the Warrior community, including current employees, students, alumni, and retirees, all united by a shared commitment to supporting the university and showcasing what makes our campus special.

Volunteer responsibilities vary by event, but all Warrior Way Welcome Crew members play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for campus visitors. Depending on the event, volunteers may greet guests, provide directions, assist with check-in, answer questions, help guide attendees between locations, support event logistics, and serve as friendly ambassadors for the university. Whether welcoming new students and their families, assisting prospective students during campus visits, or supporting large campus events, our volunteers help ensure every guest feels informed, supported, and excited to be part of the Warrior community.
