Who We Are

Winona County 4-H has many outlets to engage community members and youth: - Community 4-H Clubs: we have 14 community clubs that meet monthly all around the county. These clubs have families and youth ages K-13th attending with adult leaders and mentors guiding youth through projects and valuable leadership skills. - School Partnerships: we are currently partnered with Winona Area Public Schools Key Kids Program, Winona Community Education, Lewiston Altura Cardinal Club Program, Rollingstone Community School, and Ridgeway Community School. These programs are after school or during school hours where staff offer hands-on educational 4-H activities to those youth enrolled in these school programs. - Day Camps and Events: we offer a variety of learning opportunities like project sessions, day camps, cooking clubs, and events throughout the year that youth and families can register to participate in for a small fee. - Volunteer Opportunities: we have over 117 adult volunteers who make a difference in our communities and support youth throughout their 4-H experience. - Student Internships: we offer unpaid internships in the winter and paid internships during the summer for college students to gain experience in positive youth development for their future careers.

What We Do

In 4‑H programs, youth in grades K-13th complete hands-on projects in areas such as arts, healthy living, science, agriculture, community service, woodworking, civic engagement, and more in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Youth can access 4-H through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs, and 4‑H camps/events.
